Stages of the trip

  1. Chicago (1-2)

    You’ll depart on your scheduled flight to Chicago today, arriving late afternoon. You’ll stay here for two nights. Join your Tour Manager this morning on our included half-day tour of Chicago, a city with stunning architecture, endless shopping opportunities, many world-class museums and nearly 30 miles of shoreline along beautiful Lake Michigan. 
This evening you are invited to a Champagne welcome reception at 360 Chicago (formerly the John Hancock Observatory) where you’ll witness the best views of the city from 1,000ft up. This will be followed by a night of authentic live Chicago blues.

  2. Milwaukee

    You’ll leave Chicago today and drive to Milwaukee in the state of Wisconsin, where an overnight stay has been arranged. The city is home to the famous Miller Brewing Company and on arrival we’ve arranged a brewery tour where you’ll see how the beer is brewed and walk through the historic caves, a restored portion of the original brewery which started operating in 1855. At the end of your tour you’ll get the opportunity to sample a beer, or a soft drink if you prefer, at the Bavarian-style Miller Inn. 
This afternoon is free for you to spend at leisure. Motorbike fans are sure to be tempted to join our optional excursion to the Harley-Davidson Museum.

  3. Door County

    Nestled between the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan is Sturgeon Bay, which is our destination today as we leave Milwaukee behind and head to Door County. Weather permitting, we include a wonderful cruise aboard a historic former firefighting vessel through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal or to Sherwood Point Lighthouse. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure. You’ll stay in Sturgeon Bay for two nights.

  4. Marquette

    Your tour continues today with a journey by road into Michigan, and Marquette, a major port on Lake Superior. The world’s largest freshwater lake, your hotel for this evening is close to Superior’s shores and your room will boast wonderful lake views.

Time has seemingly stood still in this living Victorian community where motorised vehicles are banned and locals travel by horse and carriage. Hop in a carriage yourself and

Famous as the home of Motown, we’ll make a stop at Hitsville USA – the home of the Motown Museum, which tells the story of one of the largest, most successful record companies of all time and how the music captured the hearts of young people across the world. Also known as the Motor City, we include a full-day tour of the Henry Ford Museum. The museum is a tribute to the founder of the Ford Motor Company and exhibits include the limousine in which President John F Kennedy was assassinated.
